USS Miantonomoh
Missed the war!
Constructed during the war, but being finished just after it ended she never saw action, although one of her sisters, USS Monadnock, did see action at Fort Fisher, the James River, and intercepted CSS Stonewall at Havana. After the war, Miantonomoh made a voyage across the Atlantic to Europe and Russia as a show of power. Monadnock made a similar voyage down to South America. All four ships of the class were part of the shady happenings around the navy rebuild in the 1870s and 1880s as it was told to the Navy Department that the existing ships were being repaired, when in reality they were being completely rebuilt under the same name.
This ship is modeled in 1/600 scale and can be printed using any resin or FDM printer. This purchase comes with a separate base for those that wish to have a base.
When printing in FDM, some details may be too small to print with a stock 0.4mm nozzle.
