USS Eastport
Captured by the Yankees!
Initially constructed at Cerro Gordo, Tennessee, Eastport was captured partially completed by the gunboats Conestoga, Tyler, and Lexington. She was then towed to Cairo, Illinois and converted into an ironclad ram for the US Army. AS with many of the ships out west, she served on the Mississippi on patrol and convoy duty helping capture aa considerable amount of cotton and participating in the Red River Campaign. While on campaign operating near Fort De Russy, she stuck a torpedo and remained stuck in the river despite considerable efforts to save her. It was determined that she couldn't be saved, and was blown to pieces with 3,000lbs of gunpowder.
This ship is modeled in 1/600 scale and can be printed using any resin or FDM printer. Ship comes with and without base.
When printing in FDM, some details may be too small to print with a stock 0.4mm nozzle.
