Su-122 assault gun – 28mm

This is a model of the SU122 Assault gun, in 28mm.
I took the body of Bergman’s one piece print and upscaled it to 28mm. I sliced off the tracks, as printing with such a large tank in one piece would require a lot of support and post-print trimming. I then took the excellent tracks for Tiger Ace’s T-34 pack (the 1942 tracks) and created protrusion on the back of the track pieces and recesses on the hull to allow easier alignment when assembling.
Please note the recess/protrusion fit is purposely loose, and I use epoxy to assemble the tracks to the hull; it may be too loose to use CA glue, as that requires a tight fit to work. I didn’t want to make it too tight, as the manner another print make perform could cause an issue.
Also, please be sure to assemble the tracks pointed the correct way. The three tightly spaced bogie wheels are towards the rear; the two more widely spaced ones go towards the front.
Lastly, please use supports and rafts when printing!
