The Soviet G-5 was rather unusual for a WWII torpedo boat in that it was a stern launcher. The two torpedoes that it carried were launched out the back of the boat, and a sharp turn was necessary in order to get out of their way.
It was also made from an aluminium alloy that was subject to corrosion in salt water, which obviously could cause problems.
It was nevertheless effective in its role, and was quite fast – later models managed to reach 56 knots.
Files included:
G-5 – the boat, armed with two 12.7mm HMGs.
G-5 Unarmed – as above, but with the HMGs removed for separate printing.
DShK – the HMG.
