Deweycat Bolt Action version 3 - No Officer - No NCO - Tokens

Bolt Action, version 3, has hit the ground and we are absorbing the changes this has made to the game.

This .stl pack is put forth to address two changes, those being

  • Officers now have a real job, and reduced cost,  and with improved “snap to” abilities, we can expect to see them front and centre in the future

  • With “exceptional damage” now gone, Snipers have one job – to take out Officers and NCOs in command of induvial unit. Those units – the HQ (if assistants taken in the HQ) and any infantry or artillery unit – would then be at a -1 for order or morale tests (unless initiative training in play).

There are many helpful designs for game tokens, but I prefer ones without text, as the text is hard to read across the game table. My earlier Bolt Action token pack has a “No NCO” token, but I thought I would rework it and add a “No Officer” token to represent an HQ unit whose officer has been removed but the unit (each HQ can have up to two assistants who will remain on the table, at a -1 for leadership).

The “No NCO” token can represent the commonwealth chevrons (pointed down) or the American and other nations (chevrons pointed up) by simply pivoting the token.

The “No Officer” tokens have two files – one with a single bar to represent a missing lieutenant, and two bars, to represent a missing Captain.

Again, tokens are not everyone’s cup of tea, but if you like to clearly discern the status of your units during the game, these are offered for free download. They are 25mm in diameter, but can be easily resized to a smaller scale should you prefer a smaller token.

These were a quick print in FDM but can be easily printed in resin should you prefer that medium.
