Deweycat Bolt Action v. 3 Vehicle Damage Markers

The Bolt Action v. 3 Superficial Vehicle Damage chart was revealed on August 7th, 2024. This makes a notable change from v. 2, which had fewer outcomes on a superficial damage roll.

The v.3 Superficial Damage Chart released on 2024-08-07 revealed some new outcomes, dependent upon dice rolls, for 7+ and up AFVs upon suffering superficial damage. Some of the outcomes were similar to those in v. 2, while others are new.

** Please refer to the new chart for details **

Roll Results v. 3

1 – Stunned – vehicle goes “Down” and suffers an extra pin (no marker required)

2 – Steering Compromised – one less pivot per turn

3 – Turret Jammed - as per v. 2.

4 – Engine Damaged – vehicle speed reduced by one

5 – Immobilized  - as per v. 2.

6 – On Fire – add an additional pin and take a morale test, the vehicle either survives and goes “Down”, or the vehicle is abandoned (no additional marker required).

This .stl pack provides a token marker for each of the cumulative results ("Stunned" and "on fire" simply resolve themselves, and do not require a specific marker for players to identify in the game).

I made the markers large-ish -  they are 32.5 mm in diameter, and they have raised detail, so they can be easily highlighted with a felt marker. If you prefer a 25mm diameter marker, please reduce the print to 77% on the "X" and "Y" axis; I would suggest keeping the "Z" height as it to ensure the detail remains easily highlighted.

I made the designs to be strictly visual – no text, as we have many players for whom English is not their first language, and tokens with text are difficult for players to see on a 4’ x 6’ table. For instance, the Turret Jam marker shows a jammed gear, and an arrow to indicate the jammed turret's direction. Some of the token images may have a critic thinking “well, that could mean something else entirely ”, but then you have the choice to design your own. I consider them comprehensible, considering the limited number of outcomes on the Damage chart.

The prints shown were printed in PLA, at .15 mm layers. The would print in both FDM and resin without issue.
