1:1800 Soviet Ulyanovsk class aircraft carrier
Project 1143.7 was a soviet design for a nuclear powered supercarrier. With an air compliment of 44 Su-33s, 12 P-700 Granit anti ship missiles, Khinzhal surface to air missiles and a displacement of 85000 tons, it would have completely surpassed the older Kiev class and Kuznetsov class designs, though strangley, despite being a design evolution of the older Project 1153 Orel, this design used both catapults and a ski jump, unlike Orel or Kuznetov, which had the former and latter respectively.
Ulyanovsk was laid down in 1988, with a second ship planned, but with the fall of the union in 1991, produciton was stopped at 40%, and she was scrapped on the stocks
This model is produced in 1:1800 scale. Some parts not to scale for print purposes.
