Armed with two 12in guns in a single turret they were built for coastal defense and quickly became obsolete. Named for states ( Arkansas, Florida, Nevada and Wyoming) they were later renamed with city names so their state names could be used for new battleships. I make brass barrels for ship and armor models. I have recently started making armor barrels in 1/56 scale for use with 3D printed models or ones with broken barrels. As you can see from the pictures they look way better 3D printed and they don’t break. I have also created a number of wargameing models in 3D.
