The S-75 (NATO SA-2 GUIDELINE) anti-aircraft missile system used the SNR-75 radar to track the targets and guide the missiles as directed. This radar required the AV trailer to house the high-frequency and control electronics, and the UV trailer to house the crew and display stations. These cabins were mounted on the MAZ-5206 trailer, and towed by a prime mover such as the ZIL-157 truck (already available as a design on this site), or the URAL-357 or -4320 trucks (forthcoming).
This model provides a base MAZ-5206 trailer frame, with a separate steerable dolly, and double wheels to be fitted at the four stations. The tow bar is a separate item that can be fitted into the dolly to permit vertical movement so that the model can be portrayed in static or towed positions. Two versions of the frame are provided, one with the stabilising legs deployed, and another with these legs retracted in travel position. The tow bar may have to be partially cut to insert into the dolly, and glued afterwards. The main cabin is provided in two parts to permit vertical printing to optimise print resolution.
