Project 667BDRM “Dolphin” submarines
A series of Soviet nuclear-powered submarines originally armed with R-29RM ballistic missiles and later rearmed with R-29RMU2 Sineva, R-29RMU2.1 Liner missiles.
The project 667-BDRM (NATO designation Delta-IV) is a further development of the project 667BDR Kalmar and the last modification of the second generation SSBN, which smoothly evolved into the third generation. A government decree to develop the project was issued on September 10, 1975[4]. The project was developed at the Rubin Central Design Bureau of Machine Building, with S.N. Kovalyov as the general designer.
