Model of LCI(Large), this is a model from the LCI 1 ~ LCI 349 class. (Lower top-bridge version)
The model has been prepared and detailed for 1:100 war-gaming (48cm long). Meaning the railing is a bit stronger to prevent breaking to easy. It is waterline model and not a complete hull design. The Hull would be below water and would not work on a gaming table. The model is based on original drawings. There are free 20mm Oerlikons available on wargaming3d.com you can use.
Test-printed on a Creality Ender-5 FDM in 016mm and 020mm layer and Anycubic Mono SE 005mm layer. (See pictures) The hull and the large parts will print fine on a FDM printer in PLA, 016mm gives the best result. But off-course depends a bit on your own printer quality what works best for you. All the small parts have to be printed on a Resin printer. Those parts are just to small for a FDM printer. The fire-hoses are very small, so watch out when removing those from the supports.
The 3D-prints of Railing needs to be bent a bit after printing to fit the deck correctly. Main reason is that it is more easy to print it flat on the printer-bed. All railing parts are provided as separate prints, these you best print flat on the FDM printer bed.
I have added the complete hull, but also cut in 3 parts. I used those cuts for test-printing. But if you have large bed-dimension you could cut the model yourself. The 3 hull-parts are best printed vertically, as this will have the best result, less print-lines that is. Best to glue the railing first, before you glue the smaller parts, as that will help in making sure all deck-parts end up on the correct location.
The anchor-reel on the aft-deck is provided in parts or as 1 stl. Print which every you like.
For most of the Resin parts I have included Support files also, those worked fine for me. No guarantee they will work on our printer settings. So feel free to use, but might be best you create your own supported files.
It is a complex model, with well over 100 separate parts to print, so some modelling skills are required
