The Daihatsu class landing craft was a highly successful landing craft design used by the Japanese during WWII. It could carry a single light tank, 70 men or 10 tons of cargo.
Judging from photos from the period, the majority of these craft did not mount fixed weaponry (at least when the photos were being taken). They seem to have been defended by a pair of LMGs issued to the crew, though some mounted between 1 and 3 25mm cannons.
This is the first time I have included human figures in my designs. They are rather crude, but seem to work at 6mm scale.
Daihatsu Class Landing Craft – the empty, unarmed landing craft.
Daihatsu Class Landing Craft Armed – as above, with one 25mm cannon mount.
Daihatsu Class Landing Craft with Troops – unarmed craft with troops.
Daihatsu Class Landing Craft Armed with Troops – fully fitted out to invade.
