The Gabbiano class corvette was designed for anti-submarine and escort duties in the Mediterranean.
It carried quite a heavy gun armament for its size, as well as depth charges and torpedoes. They performed quite well during World War II, with 14 of them surviving and seeing service after the war as patrol ships.
Note that this ship is scaled at 1/350, to fit in with the larger ships in Cruel Seas. If you wish to print at 1/300 scale, enlarge the ship by a factor of 1.167. I do not recommend enlarging the guns, as they are already exaggerated in order to allow them to print.
The files included:
Gabbiano Class Armed – the ship with its full armament attached.
Gabbiano Class Armed No Torps – as above, but with the torpedoes removed for separate printing.
Gabbiano Class Unarmed – as above, but with no armament attached.
450mm Torpedo Launcher for Gabbiano – what the filename says.
100mm_47 Model 1937 on Mount – the main gun armament, found on the forward deck.
Breda Model 35 20mm on Pedestal Mount – 3 of these were arranged on the forward deck.
Breda Model 35 20mm on Twin Mount – 2 of these were mounted on the superstructure behind the smokestack.
