The Daimler Ferret scout car replaced the Daimler Dingo in the British and many other armies post-WW2. It remains in service in many parts of the world, and has proved to be a reliable, popular and effective vehicle. Further details of the original can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferret_armoured_car and http://www.tanks-encyclopedia.com/coldwar/UK/Daimler_Ferret , with the latter providing many interesting colour schemes and details of usage.
This product offers the original Ferret scout car Mark 1, the Mark 1/2 with overhead cover, and the Mark 2 with a small manually operated turret. The hybrid version produced by the workshops in Hong Kong is also part of the pack, with an extra spacer ring to be mounted on the Mark 2 body. Machine guns and barrels are not provided at this scale, but can be added from other sources, or by use of some thin wire. Wire antennas can also be added if desired.
The product is divided into two basic hulls (some elements are overscale in thickness to ease printing, as is usual e.g. wheel guards, but do not detract from the appearance of the model), one for the Mark 1 and one for the Mark 2, wheels and turret. Printing is best at 0.1mm layer thickness, and has been tested using FDM on an Ender 3 system. Removal of supports generated using the Cura slicer proved relatively straightforward, but some care needs to be take around the suspension and wheel covers.
