British Type 28 Pillbox

$1.95

The Type 28 pillbox was one of the standard defensive strongpoints built in England during WWII to counter the anticipated German invasion. Unlike the other standard Types, the 28 was designed for an anti-tank gun (a 2pdr or 6pdr Hotchkiss) and has much thicker walls – rated as “shellproof”. Additionally, short range defensive fire would be provided by a rifle section with a light machine gun.

These are rectangular in shape and generally have loopholes in all of the walls, with a larger offset embrasure for the AT gun. Built from both concrete and bricks, they are one of the most commonly found types of anti-tank pillbox.

In order to aid with placing models inside, this is designed without an interior blast wall, and with a removable roof. Supplied file has both brick and concrete options.

Regional and other variations are also possible, please contact us for further information or with specific requests.
