British 25 pounder Field Gun and Limber – v. 2.0 – Revised july 2020

$5.00

** This file was expanded to include separate files for resin printing. As well, the FDM files have been reworked (new wheels, more detailed barrel and carriage) for better print results **

This file consists of files to allow you to print copies of the British WW2 25 pounder field gun, the back bone of the British and Commonwealth Armies in the Second World War. The gun continued into frontline service with many nations well into the 1960s, and remains the ceremonial gun for many nation’s military, as well as being employed in many brush-fire wars in the 1960s and 1970s. This model includes the two wheeled ammo limber that was used to carry the ready ammunition with the gun, both being pulled by a Quad or F.A.T. tow vehicle. I have included both the earlier barrel without the muzzle brake (the Mark II) and one with the later muzzle brake, required to fire the super-charge ammunition introduced in 1942. So, a gun fighting in the Western Desert would normally have the barrel without the muzzle brake; later models post late 1942 would have the muzzle brake barrel.
