This is a 1/300 model of the ubitquitous Bangor-class minesweeper used by the Royal Navy during WWII. Apparently they were extensively used in operation Neptune, the naval component of Overlord. They were smaller and more lightly armed than the flower-class corvettes, and could make a similar speed. Armament was generally a 3-inch bow gun and quadruple vickers heavy machine gun on a stern pedestal for AA defence (which isn’t included, as it’s a bit small to print using an FDM printer). Masts should be made of wire or plastic rod. The model is intended for naval wargaming rather than as a display model, so there may be some slight simplifications and inaccuracies. In particular, I had to make a few minor guesses about the extreme stern. Nonetheless, all major dimensions should be correct (contact me if there are any glaring errors, and I’ll try to fix them.)

So far I have mostly modelled small ships and coastal vessels from World War II (torpedo boats, etc). All available free under creative commons-attribution-sharealike, to allow modification and customization. I intend to add some models (tents, carts, chariots) for ancient, medieval and rennaissance warfare, and possibly some armoured vehicles and aircraft.
