A11 Matilda 1

Britain's first "infantry" tank, the Matilda 1 was a result of the very tight purse-strings of the early 1930s. It was heavily armoured for its day, but even then its sole armament of a single .303 or .50 Vickers machine guns raised eyebrows in some quarters. It had a very short active career, but its role in the battle of Arras outside of Dunkirk turned out to be historically crucial.

This is a 1:100 scale model for 15mm miniatures. It is provided in two pieces, the turret and the hull.

2025-06-08: I've added files with separate hull and running gear, which should make printing a bit easier. There are two different track modules, one with link detail right round, and one with the bottom track detail flattened out, again to ease printing. The track modules are for the port side only, and will need to be mirrored in your slicer.
